A drop-in event will take place at Shetland Museum & Archives auditorium on Tuesday 26th July from 1.00pm - 8.00pm to mark the one year to go point before the impressive Tall Ships fleet arrives back in Lerwick.
Organisers are extending an invitation to anyone who has attended past events, or would like to be involved in next year's event to come along and share stories or find out more.
- Bring your photos, videos and memories of the 1999 and 2011 events and reminisce with the team and others who were there.
- Chat with Sail Training Shetland representatives to find out more about the fantastic sailing experiences available aboard Tall Ships.
- Find out more about volunteering opportunities during the event and register your interest.
- Discuss sponsorship opportunities and benefits with the project team - how can you support the event with cash or services provided in-kind?
- Do you have products or services whicih will be required for event delivery? Come along and let us know.
In addition - The Shetland Maritime Heritage Society volunteer crew will be offering short sailing trips through Lerwick Harbour in the Sixareen, Vaila Mae. Sign up with a member of staff and experience a mini sailing adventure! This will be available on a first come first serve basis - allow around an hour to enjoy a trip. Times will be confirmed nearer the date.
