The new deal brings The Tall Ships Races 2011 – Lerwick a valuable step closer to achieving the £400,000 sponsorship target sponsorship needed to deliver the four day event which takes place in Shetland from 21st – 24th July 2011.

The current sponsorship raised stands at £308,000 with valuable deals struck with Lerwick Port Authority, Peterson SBS, Shetland Catch and Total E&P UK and partner DONG Energy.

Sullom Voe Terminal manager, Lindsay Boswell, said “We are delighted to be a Host Port Sponsor for the Lerwick Tall Ships Race event in 2011.  This will be a fantastic event for the town and Shetland as a whole”.
